Born in 1950 in Constantine, Benjamin Stora is a Professeur Emeritus of history and the author of over forty books, including La Gangrène et l’Oubli (Gangrene and Forgetting, La Découverte, 2004), Les Trois Exils (The Three Exiles, Stock, 2006), and Une mémoire algérienne (An Algerian Memoir, Laffont, 2020).
