Paulin leads a quiet life in a seaside town with his girlfriend Lena. Everything changes the day he receives a letter from a woman he slept with once in Paris informing him that he may be the father of little Hermine.
In spite of resisting, Paulin is forced to take a paternity test and learns that he is indeed a father. For Lena, this is a nightmare; she is absolutely against the idea of having children. It was never part of her plan and never shall be. Paulin promises never to see or communicate with Hermine.
But he doesn’t have much choice once Hermine and her mother move to town. When Paulin is faced with the reality of this impossible situation, he attempts to make the right choices to please everyone.
