From August 2016 to the end of February 2017, Christian Clot traveled across the four most extreme places on the planet. Thirty days for each crossing, with fifteen days between each. From the Dasht-e Lut Desert in Iran to the Verkhoyansk Mountains in Russia’s Sakha Republic, from the fjords of Patagonia to the tropical rainforest of Brazil, he traversed incredibly hostile and wide-ranging climate conditions, from 60 °C to -60 °C (approximately 140 °F to -80 °F) and from 2% to 100% humidity. No one has ever tried such an expedition before, undertaken in order to study the human ability for adaptation with a scientific team. This is voyage to the heart of extr  eme places as well as to the heart of man.
