Olivier Todd is one of France’s foremost journalists, working for Nouvel Observateur and L’Express, two of the most established and widely read magazines, as well as for international media like the BBC, the Times Literary Supplement, and Newsweek International. He has also founded Panorama magazine and published several novels – The Year of the Crab [L'Année du Crabe, Robert Laffont, 1972], Ca Mao’s Ducks [Les Canards de Ca Mao, Robert Laffont, 1975], I have lived in these Times [J'ai vécu en ces Temps, Grasset 2011] –, as well as works of nonfiction – The Fall of Saigon [La Chute de Saigon, Robert Laffont, 2005] –, a memoir – IDs [Carte d'Identités, Plon, 2005] –, and the biographies of Jacques Brel, André Malraux and Albert Camus.
