Danièle Fossette was born on the Opal Coast. From very early on, she felt the sea calling her to travel. Fascinated by islands, she spent several years in Madagascar, Martinique and Tenerife. As a reporter, literature professor and travel writer, she has published around thirty books, mainly for children. Her books have been translated into many languages and some have won le prix Sorcières. Jean-Jacques Goldman was the first person to encourage her to write. La fabrique des petits bonheurs is her first novel for adults.
