Éliette Abécassis was born in Strasbourg, into a Jewish family of Moroccan descent.
Holding a degree in philosophy, she has already published twenty books on various topics from crime fiction (Qumram) over philosophical essays (Le livre des passeurs written together with her father Armand) to an autobiographical novel (Un heureux événement).
She has also written screenplays and documentaries and she regularly contributes articles to the French Press (France Inter, Elle, Le Figaro littéraire, Les Grandes questions…) which address current topics from a philosophical point of view.
