Jean Bothorel, Secretary General of the Breizh Prize, asked jury members and prizewinners to share their most powerful memory, the one that crystallizes their Brittany, a sort of "Proustian madeleine" moment.
The Brittany Prize, founded in 1961 by the Bretons of Paris on the initiative of Gwenn-Aël Bolloré, became the Breizh Prize in 2001. It rewards a Breton or a friend of Brittany novelist, or the author of a story. Roger Nimer, Hervé Bazin, Henri Quéffelec were among the writers who composed the first jury. Around the members of the Breizh Prize jury: Olivier Adam, Stéphanie Janicot, Georges-Olivier Chateaureynaud, Georges Guitton, Sébastien Le Fol, Patrick Mahé, Gilles Martin-Chauffier, Mona Ozouf, Patrick Poivre d'Arvor, are all writers in love with Brittany. Here they share their most precious and intimate memories of "their" Brittany.
