"A daughter of France and the Atlantic, my ancestry, my origins, my path and my personal history place me in the cultural political and intellectual immensity of the “Black Atlantic”, an area that has been profoundly shaped by history. Here I evoke that area, referred to as triangular, which unprecedentedly and permanently connected three continents: Europe, Africa and the Americas. It encompasses the Ivory Coast and the Africa of my parents, and France, my place of birth and current residence after many years spent in North America.
