Antoine has just turned eighteen and is already   descending into a downward spiral. He left his vocational training program and is now squatting at his parents’ house loosely looking for a job, but spending most of his time shoving medications into his mouth, drinking and smoking too much, and generally bumming around. Fortunately, he has Lea, whom he met at an                unemployment office. She is beautiful and much older than him. But what does a girl like her see in him? Apparently, he makes her laugh. And she believes his lies. But their relationship is getting more and more serious.

The problem is, she has a kid. And a man. One who isn’t very easy-going. This story doesn’t look like it’s going to go much further, and Antoine is well aware of it. But when the guy runs into him and Lea flees her home in terror, something must be done. Like running away. But where to? Antoine has an idea. They load the kid in the car and take off. Their destination? The red rocks of Provence.

But there’s something he doesn’t know—his sister lives there. And for months she hasn’t wanted to hear anything more about him. What he does suspect, though, is that their days are numbered: Lea’s man won’t just let her run away without doing something about it…
