Left with no choice but to submit to this ordeal, it is with a feeling of nausea that they sail out from the coasts of Brittany under the supervision of Lieutenant Emily Garcia. The young woman believes that this adventure may help to heal these soldiers of their psychological wounds.

Meanwhile Saadia Aleph, an assessor for a Parisian insurance company, is investigating a fire on a Breton island. The residence damaged in the fire belonged to Walter Colley, an army nurse who once served in Kabul. Saadia establishes a link between the nurse and the three men aboard Le Doux Frimaire. Intrigued by their background and learning shortly afterwards that they are due to stop over on the Faroe Islands, she decides to travel out there and intercept them.

The days go by and the boat is eventually spotted adrift at sea with no sign of the crew. In the hold is an injured woman close to death. Terrified and suffering from memory loss, she is incapable to speaking…
