The tumultuous story of a legend from 17th century Spain, that of Catalina de Erauso, a nun who excelled in the Spanish army and passed herself off as a man her entire life. Seville, 1630. Miguel de Erauso never had the chance to know his father who was killed in a duel three months before his birth. Before her death, Miguel's mother asked him to avenge his father, to find the assassin that she was never able to find. The identity of the assassin makes the crime even that much more despicable; his father's own sister, Catalina de Erauso. A nun! A heartless swashbuckler who has passed herself off as a man since she had fled a convent at the age of 15. In order to find Catalina, Miguel only has her memoirs at his disposal. Driven by his desire for revenge, he will follow the tumultuous path of this woman who poses as a man, from Spain to the New World including Panama, Peru and Chili. He interrogates those who met her in attempt to understand this stranger whose life is built by lies and combat. A pursuit that leads him to discover himself as much as his prey.
