1943, Berlin. After the battle of Stalingrad, Germany experienced total war. In this detrimental atmosphere, Gerhard Lenz, a Kriminal Polizei’s Kommissar, kept his job just thanks to the decorations he was rewarded during First World War.
But the situation gets worse when Flora, a young Jewish woman he loves, announces him she is pregnant.
While he has to hide her, he must investigate the murder of a psychiatrist, a member of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, whose corpse was found in a seemingly ritualized staging. But in doing so, investigator Gerhard Lenz will discover a mass euthanasia program the government kept secret…
Soon, while the investigation brings him into those deadly administrations and on the tracks of survivors hiding in Berlin, Gerhard is engaged in a race against time, that could cost him his life… as well as Flora’s.
