The criticism of liberalism, which came essentially from Marxism, and even more so today the denunciation of capitalism, are the result of radical ideologies. This informative study explores the development of liberalism’s internal current of critique, which promoted an ethical course. The author examines the German idea that has been the source of a “Rhenish” capitalism’s practices and ideology since the 1930s while reconstructing the intellectual and political history of this movement, known as odoliberalism.
