Two murders with a 22-year gap, an uncatholic deacon, children trafficking under Franco, a real fake Dali painting that resurfaces, a police superintendent whose family is corseted by secrets and unmentionable lies: Collioure, little port of all sins.

Luis and Inès Vega, a couple of notables, are laying down languished like infants in the morgue of a disused hospital. Both of them are holding a statuette. The crime is heinous… and very weird! Their son, Guillermo Vega, is first suspected, then released thanks to a lack of evidence before the case is dismissed.

Collioure, summer 1985. The Saint-Vincent celebrations get off to a strange start for Commissaire Marianne De Puech who has been newly appointed: her niece almost drowns while wearing armbands, her father’s house is broken into but nothing is stolen, and a miniature coffin was put on her mother’s grave. Marianne would like to understand, but she doesn’t have the time: the corpse of a deacon from Barcelona has just been discovered at the hermitage of Notre Dame de Consolation. Sent there with her collaborator, Robert Garcia, a cop at the end of his career more of a truffle dog than a criminal tracker, Marianne realizes that the victim is none other than Guillermo Vega. Has this murder anything to do with the murder of her parents 22 years earlier? Why is the painting attributed to Dali, to which all the clues seem to point, so familiar to her? By searching too hard for the truth, Marianne sets off the mechanism of a time bomb which threatens to destroy everything, including her own certainties.
