After years of studies, Nobel Erich Mandelberg succeeds the impossible; he is able to copy Netter’s mind, memories included, and implant it into another human’s brain, and vice versa.
Steve Moreira is the human guinea pig in question. Star of a Turkish basketball team on its way to the European Championship, Steve is the ideal candidate because of his
physical attributes, moral integrity, intellect and depression. He has just returned to his hometown in France after being beaten by the mafia for refusing to cheat only to learn that his father is dying of cancer.
Since Steve seems so lost in a personal tailspin, it is not hard to convince him to accept acquiring the memory of one of the richest and most powerful men in Europe. Once the transformation is complete, however, Steve starts to better understand the greater implications of what he agreed to. He is now living with another human being inside his brain. Netter’s entire past and present accompany Steve every second of the day.
And once Netter dies, he and Steve remain connected…for eternity.
