The police rule it as a suicide but Gabrielle, a resident of the nearby retirement home and good friend of Simon, refuses to believe it. Her persistence starts to worry her daughter who eventually calls on her old friend Lola to help reinvestigate the case.
Despite the rude winter climate, the former investigator does not hesitate to travel down in the sidecar of a motorbike driven by her loyal friend Ingrid, a burlesque artist.
The retirement home of Ciboure belongs to the Novavita group which has recently seen its reputation tarnished by a highly mediatized scandal revolving around the alleged mistreatment of elderly residents. A situation that had very much upset shepherd Oteguy. Lola smells a trail. But how can she infiltrate a private retirement home? This is when Ingrid has a stroke of genius: the two of them will get themselves hired to perform a musical number. Meanwhile, another corpse is discovered at the foot of the mountain…
