Rooted in the landscapes of the Gironde estuary, Le Retour aux Alizés tells the story of a generation of women who, as they reach the age of maturity, must deal with the torments of the heart and the imperatives of duty. Juliette Leroux, exiled in Canada for three years, returns to Les Alizés, near Bordeaux, to attend the funeral of her ex-husband. Isabelle, her daughter, is doing a great job of managing the family vineyard. But the venture soon meets with fierce opposition from locals defending the promotion of their vineyards...
