A philosopher and a historian, Bernadette Bensaude-Vincent lectures in history and philosophy of science at the University of Paris-X-Nanterre and at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales. She is a member of the Ethics Committee of the CNRS, and the author of many books, amongst which, published by La Découverte, Histoire de la chimie (with Isabelle Stengers, 1993, 2002) and Des savants face à l’occulte, 1870-1940 (co-directed with Christine Blondel, 2002).
