Françoise Dorin started her career as an actress and comedian after a brief début as a singer. Her first novel, published in 1976, met with considerable success in France and abroad. Va voir maman, papa travaille; La Mouflette; Les vendanges tardives; La courte paille; Tout est toujours possible; La rêve party; and Le cœur à deux places have earned her public acclaim and a following of fans always waiting for the next Dorin. She is also the lyricist of several songs, including "Que c'est triste, Venise", and recently collaborated with Céline Dion on the latter's latest album.
