Poorly born, from a Dutch mother and an unknown father, she survived thanks to the duc de Morny who supported her aunt. This dandy gave a little help to Sarah who got admitted to the Paris Academy of Dramatic Arts, and then started acting, first at la Comédie-Française, then at the Théâtre de l’Odéon. Here starts her dazzling path: Sarah got rid of all her rivals, obtaining all main roles and gave more than 500 performances, dozens of tours around the world… and a fortune the wealthiest people would die for.
