The author suggests multiplying individual, collective and institutional experiences, reinventing a new trade unionism with many bases, a municipal socialism, a social and solidarity economy. Appealing to the new forces on the left, the rebels, the truants able to teach, so as to recapture the margins and also open new areas outside the system. This is a call to stall, to opt for “dis-adherence".
Paul Ariès is one of the animators of the left-leaning Degrowth movement. He has published La Simplicité volontaire contre le mythe de l’abondance (2è éd. La Découverte/Poche, 2011).
