A sixteen year old boy who decides to live out his rebellious phase by getting involved in the preservation of a ZAD (Zone to defend), the militant occupation of an area reserved for development. One evening, the special forces arrive, throwing tear gas canisters and flashbangs at the militants who fight back with an adrenaline rush. At two a.m., the fighters are regrouping amidst the smoke – Yohann is missing. He is down, lying in a pool of blood, his limbs sprawled out as if dislocated. Will he come out of the coma? And in which state?
For his parents, the shock is devastating. Laurence, the mother, goes to the ZAD to see for herself where her son had spent his last days. Loïc, the father, is consumed by the desire to provide a better life for his family and becomes violently hostile towards ecological militants. Life is on standby, the wait is unbearable, and yet, they have to endure. And to answer to the questions of the little sister searching for her brother, not understanding what has happened. By the by, tensions are running high…
