For over ten years, the Védrines lived under the yoke of a modern-day Rasputin, sinking deeper and deeper into madness, isolation and paranoia.

This wealthy, cultured, Protestant family living in a castle is gradually destroyed by a simple swindler. Tilly develops a bond of trust with everyone, perceiving their weaknesses. He is initially helpful until he becomes indispensable. He pretended to be a secret agent, interfering in the clan’s finances... The Védrines cut themselves off from the rest of the world and moved to England, where Tilly promised to «protect» them.

Years of psychological destruction, of slow decline, until the rude awakening: the trial in 2013, followed by Tilly’s sentencing to ten years in prison.
