In this social satire, Pierre Mérot gets inside the head of a teen confronted with information-saturation provided by the Internet. Only an author of his caliber could so realistically depict teens that are unlike any from previous generations.

Kennedy Jr., 13, lives with his parents Ruth and Bob, his sister Martha and a dog named Carpette. At least, that’s how Ulysses – his real name – portrays his family on his blog. In reality, his parents are Anne and Loïc, both teachers, and his 15-year-old sister is Antigone. Then, of course, there’s the youngest, Pénélope, nicknamed “In Vitro”, who becomes the subject of Ulysse’s ideological experiments.

Kennedy can’t stand his parents because they pretend that they are the perfect, middle-class, sophisticated family. But as readers of his blog will learn, this family is completely dysfunctional.
