The heart-rending tale of a world-class violinist from Albania, and the struggle he underwent for liberty and success.
This is the extraordinary story of a celebrated violinist, and a political exile from Albania. Tedi grew up under the focused efforts of his father, a professor at the musical academy in Tirana. At 11 years old, he was discovered by the French flutist, Alain Marion, and brought to France to pursue his career on a government grant. Swiftly welcomed into the Academy of Paris, he led a solitary life at the Albanian embassy. When his studies came to an end, Tedi and his parents fled the communist regime in Albania to save his promising future. As a result, ruthless punishments were inflicted on his family who remained there, severities which continued until the fall of the regime in 1991.
