The couple never talk about the past or their respective families, which their daughter Céline finds surprising. One day, fleeing her father’s violence, the teenager is found unconscious by residents of the Cadillac castle. This former women’s prison has become a Disciplinary Boarding School for girls. Céline ends up living there for six years; Simon has signed a release to entrust her to the institution. During this difficult period, she tries her best to reassure her mother about the institution’s very strict rules. She puts up with everything, her freedom and her future being at stake. Once outside, she graduates in hairdressing and becomes emancipated. Céline soon learns the existence of her mother’s relatives in Touraine. There she discovers a magnificent place: the property of a so-called Count of Valendreuse. Will the secret, crowned with shame, that hovers around her family and her birth, finally be revealed to her?
